Our central location puts us at an important crossroads in the South. We are just 70 miles from Jackson, Mississippi, 130 miles from Memphis and 250 miles from New Orleans. The historic Natchez Trace flows through Kosciusko and provides a scenic and relaxing link to Jackson and to all points south and northeast. Five state highways ensure vital commercial links to every part of the state and to the entie southeastern United States. Current projects include highway 12 being four-laned to I-55, Highway 43 being widened to 3 lanes and sidewalks to the Attala County Industrial Park and Highway 35 being four-laned to the County line.
Federal Express, United Parcel Service, DHL and the United States Parcel Service provide parcel service to our area. There are six motor freight carriers serving our area. Commercial air transportation is provided at Jackson and Columbus. Our local airport has a 5,000 foot runway.
The mighty Mississippi River is west of Kosciusko and is served by the U.S. Customs Port of Entry in Greenville, Mississippi. Additional barge access to the east is available on the Tennessee/Tombigbee Waterway.
