Leadership Attala 2012
The Class
The Leadership Attala 2012 class has been selected. The class of 10 of Attala County's future leaders is comprised of George Adams, Erin Cox, Piccolar Johnson, Jason Pope, Nicholas Upchurch and Jeannie Weaver. For more information on the Class click here.
The Leadership Attala Class of 2012 has chosen to perform a beautification project. As we all live and/or work in Kosciusko and Attala County, we think it is important to take pride in the appearance of our city and county. Our group is working closely with the City of Kosciusko and the Mayor and has chosen to clean up, landscape, and provide a consolidated manner in which to display all civic club signs at each of the three existing welcome signs leading into Kosciusko. We are currently researching a method of displaying the signs in an aesthetically pleasing manner. We are definitely early in the process, but all civic organizations will be invited to participate or display a club sign at each of the welcome signs. Additionally, our group is working closely with the city to facilitate the purchase and design of permanent vertical light pole banners to be displayed at the major intersections of Hwy 12. Although the above items are small steps in the overall process, our hope is that others will follow our lead and work towards our goal of enhancing the overall appearance of our city and county.
Our group decided on “Sign Up 6” as our team name. The name is tied directly to our project as we are dealing with a couple of sign projects. However, it is somewhat of a play on words as we intend to get others interested or “signed up” to participate in the beautification of Kosciusko and Attala County as a whole.
