The Kosciusko-Attala County regional health care center reaches out to Central Mississippi with excellent medical resources. The 72-bed Monfort-Jones Hospital  provides general medical, obstetrical, and surgical care along with a 24-hour emergency department, a 7 -bed coronary unit, an acute care unit, swing bed service and adult psychiatric care services. Out-patient services in a broad range of specialties are also available.

Over 400 medical specialists and 22 specialized medical facilities are located within a one-hour drive of Kosciusko.  

The Attala County Health Department consists of environmentalists, physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, disease intervention specialists and medical aides.

For the aging, several alternatives include the Attala County Nursing Center, which is a skilled nursing facility, private personal care homes and an assisted living complex. Kosciusko is also home to the 150-bed Mississippi State Veterans Home which provides care for the veterans in the region.
