Agape Flowers and Gifts presents the 2009 Flower Show at the Central MS Fair. The Flower Show displays the home grown talents of Attala County.
General Rules:
- Entries will be received from 7:30am to 9:00am Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Attala County Coliseum.
- Exhibits will be open to the public at 6:00-9:00pm Wednesday, August 19 through Friday, August 21, 2009.
- Exhibits must be removed between 7:00 and 9:00am on Saturday, August 22, 2009.
- All entries must be checked with Entries Committee and must receive an entry card before being placed.
- All classes are open to residents of Attala and Adjoining counties.
- Only one entry in each class may be made by an exhibitor. See list below.
Rules-Horticulture Division:
- All entries in horticulture classes MUST have been grown by exhibitor and labeled as to variety where possible.
- Containers for specimens will be supplied by Flower Show Committee.
- Pots with mixed plants are permiteed.
- Potted plants must have been in possession of exhibitor at least 3 months prior to show.
- Only one entry of one variety, one color, from same garden is permitted in each class.
- Any class may be sub-divided by color, variety, or other specifications as deemed necessary by the Flower Show Committee.
Awards
- Awards shall be given only for quality and if merited.
- Each class shall be eligible for the following awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention
- The Sweepstakes Award will be given to the exhibitor with the most blue ribbons in the Horticulture Division. In the event of a tie, red ribbons will be counted. Blue ribbons count five points and red ribbons count three points.
- The Horticulture Excellence Award will be given to the horticulture exhibit judged Best in the Show.
